The car park is some distance from the beach (about a 10 minute walk) and the final path to the beach is steep.

Directions:
Torquay is 24 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and continue on the A380 past Newton Abbott to the outskirts of Torquay. On the A380 at the Edginswell junction turn left where signposted to Torquay onto the A3022. Follow the A3022 to the sea front at Torre Abbey Sands. Then turn left to follow the A379 into Torquay town centre. Follow the A379 through Torquay and through Babbacombe, then several miles north of Babbacombe, at Maidencombe Cross, opposite the garage turn right onto a road called Brim Hill (signposted to Maidencombe Beach) and follow this road for about a mile to Maidencombe village. Follow this road through Maidencombe village to the Maidencombe beach car park. There are other routes to Maidencombe such as the A379 from Teignmouth.
